Is Neko Neko the right fit for first-time cat owners?

Without a doubt. Many of our clients are new cat parents looking for calm, guided support as they learn and build confidence in their cat care journey.

 

Our team of cat lovers (often cat owners themselves!) take the time to explain what your cat needs, what is normal behaviour, and what to expect from grooming, boarding, and everyday care. There is no pressure to “know anything” before coming in.

 

If you are unsure, that's what we're here for! We are always happy to guide you.

What does "holistic cat care" actually mean?

To us, holistic care means considering a cat’s physical health, emotional safety, and mental comfort together, while also being realistic about an owner’s circumstances. It’s about consistent, thoughtful care rather than perfection or expensive choices.

My cat is anxious and nervous outside. I'm worried it won't cope well.

Our care philosophy prioritises gentle handling, stress-aware environments, and respect for a cat’s limits. We work at each cat’s pace and adjust care based on what your cat is comfortable with.

 

Our staff always take time to observe your cat’s behaviour, and will work with you to discuss a solution tailored to your cat. For example, they may recommend shorter or gradual grooming sessions, or offer to place a privacy curtain over your cat's boarding cabin.

What if my cat doesn’t cope well with grooming or boarding?

We pay close attention to how each cat responds to care. If a cat is distressed, we prioritise their wellbeing and adjust or stop as needed. Not every service suits every cat, and we believe recognising that is part of responsible care.

Do I need to use all your services to benefit from Neko Neko?

Not at all. Many cat owners start with one of our solutions, or courses, and add others as their needs change. Our role is to support you and your cat where you are, never to push a fixed path or upsell things you do not need.

Do I need prior experience to attend the Neko Academy classes or join the Neko Neko Club?

No prior experience is required. Our classes and Neko Neko Club are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and supportive for cat parents at any stage of their journey.

Is the Neko Academy only for grooming professionals?

No. Neko Academy offers learning paths for both cat owners and aspiring grooming professionals. Cat owners can attend foundation classes, while professionals can pursue structured grooming training.

What makes Neko Neko different from other pet care providers?

We focus exclusively on cats, and everything we do is guided by how cats experience care. From services and environments to education and community, our work is shaped by understanding of our feline friends, rather than convenience.

 

We are not driven by trends or ego. Neko Neko was, and continues to be built by ordinary cat parents (just like you!) who genuinely care about companion cats and believe that doing small things well, every day, is how standards are raised over time.
