Grooming can be stressful when cats feel unsafe or when sessions are rushed or poorly handled. At Neko Neko, we believe grooming should be respectful and responsibly handled. with equal consideration for feline comfort and groomer safety.

 

Our team is trained to handle cats thoughtfully and confidently, adapting each session to the cat in front of them. We work at a pace that supports trust and familiarity while maintaining clear boundaries to ensure safe, sustainable grooming over time. 

 

Our guiding principles mean that the cat grooming experience is always completed at a pace that is comfortable for your kitty, so that each subsequent visit is one to look forward to instead of dislike.

Choosing the Right Groom for Your Cat

Different coats have different needs. Choosing the right groom helps keep your cat clean, healthy and comfortable.

Short-haired Cats

Express or Essential Groom

Ideal for those new to grooming or who do best with shorter, simpler sessions. These grooms focus on coat cleanliness, comfort, and gentle handling. Essential Groom includes a gentle bath and is best suited for short-haired cats needing a deeper clean.

Long-haired Cats

Classic or Signature Groom

Best for cats with longer or thicker coats needing regular upkeep. Classic Groom keeps the coat neat without changing length, while Signature Groom is for customised styles or more extensive grooming, including bear or teddy cuts or shave-downs.

Express Groom ($60)

Short/medium/long: $60

Our Express groom is recommended for feline friends who are exceptionally skittish and completely new to the grooming experience. It also works fantastically as a simple freshen-up in between regular grooming sessions.

 

Recommended for:

  • First-time grooms and sensitive cats
  • Quick freshen-ups between full grooming sessions

Essential Groom (from $70)

Short: $70 | Medium: $80 | Long: $100

Our Essential Groom covers the basics of an effective cat care routine. It’s perfect for fuss-free kitties who want to keep fresh and clean on a regular basis.

 

Recommended for:

  • Short-haired cats who benefit from a gentle bath
  • Regular coat maintenance to reduce shedding and build grooming familiarity

Classic Groom (from $100)

Short: $100 | Medium: $110 | Long: $120

Our Classic Groom is best for cat owners who are looking to maintain and tidy their feline friend’s coat with a light trim.

 

Recommended for:

  • Long-haired cats needing regular upkeep and detangling
  • Cats who need their coat kept neat without changing length or style

Signature Groom (from $150)

Short: $150 | Medium: $170 | Long: $190

Our Signature Groom comes highly recommended by parents of long-haired cats. It is best opted for in cases where a thorough fur cut is desired!

 

Recommended for:

  • Cat owners who need more help managing their cat’s coat
  • Specific styles such as bear or teddy cuts, or shave-downs for easier upkeep

Please note that a bath is required to accompany a spa or treatment session.

Nano bubble ($80)

A deep-cleansing, soothing soak that effectively removes impurities. (Bath required.)

Ozone Spa ($80)

Recommended for combating itch, fungus and skin ailments. (Bath required.)

Anti-bacterial ($80)

Degreasing (Full Body) ($80)

Deep cleansing for kitties with very oily coat. (Bath required.)

Degreasing (Tail) ($40)
Deep cleansing of kitty's tail. Effective for those suffering from stud tail. (Bath required.)

Feline Facial ($40)

A thorough cleanse of the chin, cheeks, and eye area to remove oil and dirt. Great for cats with acne or dull fur, leaving their face fresh and clean.

Fluffy Tail Detox ($40)

A gentle wash to remove oil and residue from the tail, bringing back its soft and fluffy look.

Clean & Clear Chin ($20)

A focused deep clean for the chin area to clear up oil buildup and acne, helping prevent blackheads and irritation.

Bright Eyes Treatment ($20)

Careful cleaning of the eyes and cheeks to remove tear stains and reduce discoloration, keeping the eye area bright and comfortable.

KittyPawdi ($40)

Deep cleaning of the paws and nails to remove dirt and debris, followed by a paw pad moisturizer for soft, healthy feet.

Total Detox Spa (from $80)
A full-body deep clean and degreasing to remove oil and buildup from head to tail, leaving the coat light, shiny, and refreshed.

Ear Cleaning ($20)

Routine care against ear mites and infections.

Eye Cleaning ($20)

Get fresh-faced and do away with nasty tear stains.

Toothbrushing ($10)

Prevent tartar buildup, plaque and tooth decay.

Nail Clipping ($25)

Regular clipping prevents overgrown nails and discomfort.

Sanitary Area Shave ($25)

Paw Pad Shave ($25)

Light Trimming ($25)

Tidy up your kitty's butt, mane OR tail.

Haircut ($110)

Full coat trimming only. Owner is required to complete undercoat removal, nail clipping, bathing and blow-dry the day before.

Undercoat Removal ($10+)

Highly recommended add-on for removal of trapped or dead fur. Contributes to a deeper cleanse and speeds up drying time after your cat's bath.

Director’s Fee ($30)

Applies when booking with our senior groomer. This reflects their level of experience, technical proficiency, and ability to manage more sensitive or complex grooming needs.

Media Updates ($10)

Receive a photo of your kitty's grooming session with us, to be sent to you via WhatsApp within 1 working day of your appointment.

Extra Care Charge ($80)

Chargeable if extra time or hands are needed. We are committed to your cat's wellbeing and may choose not to groom overly stressed, agitated or uncomfortable cats.

Ear Mite Treatment ($20/ear)

Recommended to treat ear mites and/or other ear-related ailments.

Parasite Treatment ($120)

For fleas, ticks, fur mites, and/or other parasites. Bath required.

Oversized Charge ($30)

May apply to extra-large cats weighing over 8 kg.

In-grown Claw Removal ($30/nail)

Surcharge for in-grown nails.

Dematting ($10+)

For additional time required for removal of severe fur matts.

Extended Care (Varies)

For additional time required for fecal matter removal, pelted coats, etc. Capped at the rate of $100/hour.

Cat Transport

We offer in-house cat transports to, from, and between Neko Neko grooming salons. This service is available by appointment only.

2-Way Transport ($40)

2-Way Transport Special Deal ($10)

Available from Mondays - Fridays, excluding public holidays. Selection of salon location/groomer is not available with this promotional offer. Appointment will be allotted to the closest available salon based on the customer's postal code for pickup/drop off.

What if my cat is nervous, aggressive, or has never been groomed before?

That’s very common. Many cats we see are first-timers or easily stressed. We use calm, cat-only handling methods and tailor each session to your cat’s tolerance. In some cases, we may recommend starting with a shorter or simpler groom.

Will my cat always get the haircut I request?

We always try our best, but the final outcome depends on your cat’s tolerance and coat condition. If a requested style causes stress or discomfort, our groomer may recommend a safer alternative in your cat’s best interest.

How long does a grooming session take?

Timing varies depending on coat condition, groom type, and your cat’s comfort level. We prioritise calm handling over speed, so sessions may take longer than traditional grooming environments.

What happens if my cat cannot complete the full groom?

If a full groom cannot be safely completed, we will prioritise essential areas such as hygiene, mat removal, or comfort trims. Your groomer will update you on what was done and next steps.

Do you groom cats with severe matting?

Yes, but severe matting may require adjustments such as partial trims or shave-downs to prevent pain. In some cases, multiple sessions may be recommended rather than completing everything at once.

Is bathing included in all grooming services?

Bathing is included in Essential, Classic, and Signature Groom sessions. For cats who are new, sensitive, or easily stressed, we may recommend starting with Express Groom first and building up gradually.

Can I stay during my cat’s grooming session?

Yes, you’re welcome to stay during your cat’s grooming session. Some cats feel more at ease with their caregiver nearby, and we’re happy to accommodate this whenever it helps your cat feel calmer and more secure.

What if my cat has medical conditions or special needs?

Please let us know in advance. Sharing any medical history, sensitivities, or mobility concerns helps our groomers prepare and adjust handling to keep your cat as comfortable and safe as possible.
