Where We Began

Neko Neko first began as Nekojam; an online pet store with a focus on quality, honest recommendations, and helping pet owners make better care choices.

In 2023, it evolved to carry forward the same commitment under a clearer, cat-first identity.

2016

Rethinking Cat Boarding

With Nekoya, we set out to change how cats experience boarding. By focusing on routine, space, and emotional comfort, we created an alternative to traditional boarding, one that supports cats and reassures their owners when they travel.

2018

Building the Cat Community

Believing that better care starts with shared understanding, we organised Singapore’s first Cat Festival. The event brought cat owners, advocates, and the public together to learn, connect, and support responsible cat ownership.

2019

Gentle, Low-Stress Cat Grooming

Nekomori was created around a simple idea: grooming should feel safe and respectful for cats. Designed for low-stress handling and individual comfort levels, it marked a deeper commitment to welfare-first grooming practices.

Neko Neko Cat Stores brought retail, grooming, and boarding together under one roof. Designed as cat-friendly spaces, they make thoughtful care more accessible while allowing cats and their owners to experience services in a calmer, more connected way.

It's really all the small details and effort the caretakers' put in that matters. As pawrents we always look forward to the boys' daily media updates and report card, with that even while in holiday we feel assured that our babies are well taken care of. I sent my Tommy here for essential grooming, and classic grooming after and then on. Always looked for Stephanie because she's so patient and gentle with Tommy who's always timid 😂

The place is also serene, and I like that its a cat salon so no dogs here or loud noises that will freak your babies out. There is also a waiting area for you to watch your cats if you choose to, but wish there was refreshments sold instead of going to the cafe nearby!

Overall a really good experience and I'll always return (p.s. they send u a kitty report after! its so cute!)

Lead Grooming Artisan at Neko Neko, Rachel is a professional pet groomer with over 10 years of experience in the field, having been grooming dogs, cats, and small animals since 2005.

With a multitude of grooming accreditations under her belt, she is also a highly successful grooming instructor who has successfully nurtured and trained a number of notable, award-winning pet groomers, including those of which she now oversees in Neko Neko.

Introduction

I was previously a paediatric nurse, where I developed patience and a gentle approach to care. My journey into cat grooming began in 2023 when I got my first cat. During his first grooming session, he became aggressive and needed me to stay and help calm him. The groomer noticed how well I handled him and asked if I would be interested in working as a part-time assistant.

That experience sparked my passion for cat grooming. I fell in love with understanding feline behavior and helping cats feel safe and comfortable during their sessions. In 2024, I took up a professional cat grooming course to deepen my skills and have since participated in several competitions to challenge myself and grow in the industry.

Today, I’m a full-time cat groomer and a proud cat mom of two. I’m dedicated to providing a calm, safe, and positive grooming experience for every cat I meet. 🐾
