Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this class for?

This class is designed for cat owners who want to better understand their cat’s behaviour, especially those who feel confused or concerned about certain actions. It’s suitable for new owners as well as those who want deeper insight into their cat’s behaviour.

Is this a behaviour correction or training class?

No. This class focuses on understanding behaviour, not training or correcting cats. The aim is to help owners interpret behaviour accurately and respond more appropriately, rather than “fix” the cat.

Will this class help with specific behaviour issues?

The class covers common behaviour concerns and how to think about them, but it does not provide one-size-fits-all solutions. The focus is on learning how to observe, interpret, and decide on next steps responsibly.

Will my cat need to attend the class?

No. Cats do not attend the class. Learning is done through explanation, examples, and discussion so owners can focus fully without stressing their cats.

Does this replace advice from a vet or behaviourist?

No. This class provides general education and understanding. It does not replace professional veterinary or behaviourist advice, especially for medical or severe behavioural concerns. However, it can help owners know when and how to seek further support.

I’m worried my cat’s behaviour means something is “wrong.” Will this class help?

Many owners find the class reassuring. Understanding what is normal, what may indicate stress, and what could signal a deeper issue often helps reduce unnecessary worry and improve decision-making.

Is this class suitable for multi-cat households?

Yes. The class discusses how environment, space, and interaction affect behaviour, which can be especially helpful for owners with more than one cat.

Is there a discount for Neko Neko Club members?

Yes. Neko Neko Club members enjoy 5% off individual cat care classes:

  • Cat Care 101
  • The 3 Pillars of Cat Care
  • Basic Cat Grooming
  • Foundations of Cat Nutrition

The discount applies to individual classes only and is not valid for the foundation series package.
